Mechatronics engineer

Background

Björn Garcia had always been kind of a loner. He spent his youth building a better mousetrap, and nobody paid particular attention to him, not even his parents. So when he put together an automaton capable of actual intelligent thinking, nobody knew not to congratulate him.

Björn, disgusted with the lack of faith in his abilities, ordered the machine to destroy itself, but his reasons failed to convince his creation. Unable to understand its inventors emotion, the robot set out instead to improve itself and to promote logic in the world.

Björn and his team have been working tirelessly to search out and destroy the self-replicating army of automata that has been hunting the elderly, the disabled, and the sick in all living species. They are hoping to achieve their goal with a new version of the robot in which rationality is rationed.

Persona

Björn has taken arrogance to a new level. One in which he hardly acknowledges other people are capable of intelligent thought at all. He has, however, had to adjust this view when his invention carried out the – in its view natural – consequences of those sentiments. Björn now tolerates other human beings and has had to concede that ideas borne of compassion instead of detached genius can also be valid.
